Joseph is survived by his children, Aaron Wayne Castronova and Julia Ann Castronova; his granddaughter, Cecilia Castronova; and his former wife, Deirdre Castronova. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Joseph Castronova and Josephine Marie Brolewicz Castronova; and a brother, Wayne James Castronova.
Joseph was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He spent 27 years with United States Postal Service, retiring in management. He was a master cabinet and furniture maker and former owner of the Joinery Cabinet Shop. Joseph was a voracious reading and was very proud of his library.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2017, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery.
