Joshua James Bingham

Our family lost our special angel Joshua James Bingham on November 4, 2013. He flew on angel wings straight to heaven where Jesus opened his arms, and the angels rejoiced. Joshua was born with a rare genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome. He lived for seventeen years and although he could not speak his loving smile and infectious laughter drew people to him. He was a joy to be around, he loved to swim, and give hugs. He touched untold lives and all who knew him were truly blessed. Joshua is survived by his loving parents Bobby and Nancy Bingham, two sisters Brittany Bingham and Victoria (Toby) Williams, Paul (Jennifer) Bingham, nieces Tailor Harris, Taylor Terry, Caroline and Paisley Williams. Maternal grandparents Harold and Margie Jones, paternal grandparents Jerry Bingham Sr. and Doris Odom. Special loving Great Aunt Dorothy (Harvel) Buford. Aunt's Stephanie Upshaw, Angela (Todd) Cedotal, Tracy Bingham, Uncles Jerry (Dana) Bingham, Edward Strachan, and special friend Allison (Terry) Davis. Joshua was a native Mobilian, and was a current student at Augusta Evans. He also attended O'rourke Elementary, Griggs Elementary, and Easter Seals. The family would like to give a special acknowledgement to Dr. Paul Maertens, Dr. Cathy Huettemann as well as the nurses and Doctors at both Providence Hospital, USA Women's and Children's hospital, and Children's Rehab, who took such great care of our boy when he was sick. We would also like to acknowledge his school family who took great care of him when he was well. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
