Kenneth Emery Hester, age 83, of Semmes, Alabama passed away on Thursday June 27, 2019. Kenneth was born March 1, 1936 in Pearl River County, Mississippi. A US Army Veteran, Amateur Radio Operator (KU4YT) and a member of Wilmer Baptist Church. He retired from Miller Transporters where he worked as Maintenance Foreman.
Mr. Hester is preceded in death by his parents Emery A Hester and Mattie Spiers Hester and three sisters Ruth Hester, Mavis Anderson and Rita Bennett. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Alliene Blackwell Hester, three daughters Lynn (Joe) Hamm, Angela Krebs and Stacey Kee. Seven grandchildren Justin (Danielle) Hamm, Jeb (Kaitlyn) Hamm, Brianna Goff, Britni Thornton, Hannah Stanford, Cara Padgett, Abigail Callen and eleven great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Hamm, Jeb Hamm, Ronnie Bennett, Roger Dale Lee, Caleb Hamm and Sandy Jernigan.
A visitation for Kenneth will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606. Graveside services will be Sunday, June 30, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Byrd Line Cemetery, 224 Otis Jones Road, Lumberton-Pearl River, MS 39455.
