Kim was preceded in death by her father, George E. Kountz, III; mother, Gladies Kountz; grandparents, Gayron and Della Mae Finlay; George “Budgey” Kountz, Jr.; grandmother, Elizabeth Griffin; and step-brother, Richard Vardaman; and her best friend, Pam.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children, Rebecca Kountz, Chelsea Kountz (Matt), and Brandon Norris (Emelia); her brother, Timothy (Dell) Kountz; her loving sister and caregiver, Robin (Pat) Cochran; seven grandchildren, Braydin, Wyatt and Jaylah, Jackson and Lilli, Maddox and Olivia; her nephew, Jay Cooper and her “Lil Gordon Ramsay” Michael Coley; step-mother, JoAnn Kountz; step-brothers, Norman Vardaman and Shane (Edana) Vardaman.
Kim was born August 31, 1969 to George and Gladies Kountz. She was born and raised in Mobile, AL. Kim was disabled. She was an avid lover of Auburn Football, Bingo at the Knights of Columbus, and her online casino playing.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her Daddy and Mama and we all know she has a house on the hill on “Cash App Lane.”
She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her babies. She and her nephew Michael Coley shared a very loving and special bond and also her nephew Jay Cooper.
She and her baby sister shared a bond like no other. Kim was a loving and caring person and will definitely be missed by many.
Though my heart is shattered into a million pieces, I know that you are pain free and I know you will settle in well with Mama, Daddy and Aunt Theresa . I will grieve, I will cry, but know I will think of our crazy shenanigans from our bedroom (living room) Ha! Ha! Ha! and I think of all the great memories that only we share and I thank God everyday for giving me, you, Kimberly, as my big sister. I love you sister! Go rest now. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 1 pm from the chapel of Radney Funeral home on Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 am prior to services. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens in Eight Mile, AL.
Active pallbearers will be Brandon Norris, Jay Cooper, Michael Coley, Patrick Cochran, Matthew Collins, Jacoby Booker. Honorary pallbearers are Braydin, Wyatt, Maddox, Rhett, Jackson and Elliott, and Jackson.
