Mr. Leon Molette, born November 05, 1956 in Birmingham, AL. His family later migrated to Mobile, AL, where he resided for over 50 years. On Thursday, July 22, 2021 Leon exchanged life for eternity at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Private Molette served in the U.S. Marine Corp. and worked with DL&P for over 17 years, as well as employed with varies companies in Mobile, AL, where he utilized many of his constructional skills. Leon enjoyed fishing, playing dominos and chess, and barbecuing. Above all else, Leon loved spending time with his family.
Leon was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Luvenia Gardner, grandparents Mr. & Mrs. William and Bertha Molette, Sr., brother Mr. Charles Gardner, sister Mrs. Vanessa Gardner Leonard, and a nephew Frederick Gardner, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife for many years, Ms. Vera P. Williams. Leon was blessed with three devoted sons Mr. Derrick Dickerson, Mr. Leon Williams, Mr. Christopher Williams, and two devoted stepsons Mr. Timothy (LaTonya) Williams and Mr. James Williams all in Mobile, AL. Two devoted daughters Ms. Sabrina N. Franklin, of Saraland, AL, and Seven McNeil, of Mobile, AL. Two devoted brothers Mr. Johnny Lee (Hazel) Molette of Birmingham, AL, and Mr. Frederick (Patricia) Gardner of Dallas, Tx. One devoted sister Ms. Emma Lou Vettatoe of Mobile, AL. A devoted mother-in-law, Mrs. Vera C. Williams, of Mobile AL. One brother-in-law Mr. Joseph Julius Leonard of Mobile, AL. One aunt, Mrs. Queenetta Williams of Cedar Rapid, Iowa. Three devoted sisters-in-law, his buddy, Mrs. Angie Cox, Ms. Brenda Williams, and Ms. Felicia Williams, two devoted brothers-in law, Mr. Larry Williams, and Mr. Gerry Williams all of Mobile, AL. 11 devoted grandchildren Timera, Mariah, Derrick Jr., Angel, Desmond, Timothy Jr., Katelyn, Brittney, D’Erika, Leon Jr., and Caitlin. A devoted cousin, Ms. Ida Johnson. A devoted God-daughter Ms. Dejah Jones. A very devoted friend, Mr. Rickey Carson. Additional devoted friends Mr. Christopher Matthews, Mr. Eddie “Kelly” Yelder, Mr. Timothy Gamble, Mr. Toriano “Scotty” Scott, and Big Ed, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
