Louella Babb Young

Louella Henry Babb Young born in Pleasant Grove, Mississippi and lived in Prichard, Chickasaw, and Mobile. Alabama passed away peacefully on Friday. Mrs. Young was 89 years old. She was a community activist in each city she resided. She worked with the PTA, Salvation Army, Order of the Eastern Star, Business and Professional Women's Club, Silver Hair Legislature, and Local Theatre winning many awards in a leadership role. She belonged to many other community clubs and was always a force for good. She is preceded in death by Mr. Otto Babb and Mr. Lawrence A Young. She is survived by her children, two sons, Mr. Thomas M. Babb, Mr. Ronald H. Babb, and her daughter, Ms. Diane Babb Nelson, four grandsons, Mr. Richard Babb, Mr. Michael Babb, Mr. Brian Dunnam, and Mr. Daniel Nelson, and one granddaughter, Ms. Ashley Babb, and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Young lived a purpose driven and fulfilled life. She will be missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10 AM. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
