
Louise Carpenter Brown, a longtime resident of Foley passed away peacefully on Wed., October 7, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Isham Brown. She is survived by her 2 children, Sandra Gerth of Mobile and Jim Brown of Foley; her grandchildren, Jason Gerth (Ashleigh), Justin Gerth (Mary Noller), Jonathan Gerth (Lindsay), and Ashley Paige (Lenny); great-grandchildren, Jason, Jr. and Jacob Gerth, Frances and William Gerth, Bella Gerth, Kayson and Braxton Brown, and Hanna Paige. Louise taught piano in her early years and played for the Galilean Services at the Beach for a few years. She was a kind and loving mother and grandmother who was affectionately known as NaNa. Above all else, she loved her family. She was the epitome of a true Southern Lady. She will be greatly missed. A special thanks goes to her caretakers, Norma and Kara Owens, for their kindness and dedication. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mobile on Saturday, October 10, at 11 a.m. Visitation will begin at the church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery.
