Lunava Bowen Mullins, 88, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2020 in Mobile, Alabama. She was born to Blunt Ferrell Bowen and Mary Alice Bowen on April 8, 1932 in Hamilton, Alabama. Lunava was a family woman. Her whole world revolved around taking care of them – making a home for them – starting with her husband and trickling down to her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lunava loved fishing and sewing for her grandchildren. She was a resident of Theodore, and a life-long member of Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Leon Mullins; beloved son, Robert Michael “Mike” Mullins; and her parents.
Lunava is survived by her granddaughters, Ashley Maria Lassiter (Garrett) and Natasha Elizabeth Mullins; three great-grandsons; six great-granddaughters; and her daughter-in-law, Martha Daina Mullins “Diane”.
Visitation for Lunava will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
