Margaret S. Strang – age 87, born in Whistler, and a resident of Chickasaw passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. She was a loving mother and wife to the late Gerald E. Strang, with whom she worked side by side in founding the Catholic Maritime Club in 1945. She was a former member of Little Flower Catholic Church and a current member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Mrs. Strang is survived by her son, Gerry Strang (Sharon); granddaughter, Christen Strang; sisters, Cecelia Thompson (J.R.), Dot Sanchez, and Betty Barton (Aubrey); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on Friday, September 24, 2010, at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m., with the rosary being recited at 10:15 a.m. Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery.
