Marie Walker Breland

Marie Walker Breland “Mema”, age 94, of Wilmer, passed away June 4, 2022 on what would have been her departed husband’s 97th birthday. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Radney Funeral Home located at 3155 Dauphin St. Mobile, AL on Thursday, June 9th. Mike Gaby, former pastor of Wilmer United Methodist Church will officiate. The family will accept visitors starting at 10:00 AM with a chapel service following. Interment will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery West located at 1599 Snow Road in Mobile immediately after the service. Mrs. Breland is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, husband Henry H. Breland, and son-in-law’s Alton Turner and Richard Wilbur. Marie loved cooking, gardening, garage selling, but most of all she loved Jesus and her family. Me Maw never missed a chance to let either one know just how much. She loved people and never met a stranger.

If she did; they were not a stranger for very long. She was particularly proud of her connection with others. Never did a year go by that she failed to wish those who meant the most a happy birthday, anniversary, or offer a word of prayer. She was small in stature but her kindness and

faith could only be outweighed by the size of her heart. Mrs. Breland left this world surrounded by family and will be missed by many loved ones including 7 sons and daughters (L. Nan Turner, L. Ann

Pallbearers to include her grandsons’ Steven W. Turner, Russell P.

Turner, Richie E. Wilbur, Randall E. Wilbur, Brian D. Bostwick, Robert O. Bostwick, Greg A. Bostwick, Craig Breland, Christopher von Eberstein, Matt Breland, Walker Breland, and Will Breland.
