Marilyn B. deLage, 84, of Gulf Breeze died peacefully with her family at her bedside on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. She was born (April 2, 1935) and raised in Mobile, AL. Marilyn attended the University of Montevallo, and in addition to being a loving mother, wife and homemaker, she enjoyed careers in office management and real estate.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles J.B. deLage IV, her son, Charles J.B. deLage V, and her parents, Charles August Buerger and Mildred B. Buerger. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Cleveland (Dave) and Dana Haller (Pat), and her sister, Annette Davis (Luther). Marilyn also leaves behind six grandchildren: Lauren Cleveland, Carleigh Cleveland, Chuck Haller (Ashley), Jackie Haller, Woody Haller and Noah Haller, and one great granddaughter, Soraya Haller.
A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, Gulf Breeze, FL, on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at 2:00 PM, with a reception immediately following in the Music Suite. A graveside burial service will be held at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile, AL on Monday, July 29, 2019, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and the graveside service at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to thank the loving caregivers at The Haven and Muriel Finger Sitters. The compassionate care she received in the final weeks and months of her life was a blessing to Marilyn and all who love her.
