Mary Margaret Altice

Mary Margaret Altice – a lifelong resident of Mobile passed away November 1, 2010. She retired from Hermann & Hynde Insurance after many years of service. She was a former member of the Insurance Women of Mobile and the American Business Women’s Association. She was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena where she was a member of the Burse Club. Ms. Altice was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Monroe and Mary Quinn Altice; half-sister, Regina Lane; half-brother, Norman Altice; and brother-in-law, William J. Kountz, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Lois Altice Kountz; nieces and nephews, Karen Mitchell (Jim), Ann Roberts (Gary), Ashley Bryars, William J. Kountz, III (Sherry), and Michael Kountz (Jennifer); 11 great-nieces and nephews; and six great, great-nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Maher Sahawneh, the nurses of the Mobile Infirmary 4th floor MICU, especially Jason, Nate, Pete, Melissa, Pamela, Leigh, and Major, and special friend, Cleo Gaines for all of their care and support. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the 12:30 p.m. procession to the church with the Rosary being recited at 12 noon. Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church or Little Flower Catholic Church.
