Mary D. McMartin Doan, 94, a native of Detroit, MI and a longtime resident of Mobile and Grand Bay, passed away March 27, 2012 in a local hospital. Mrs. Doan was a homemaker and for 50 years was a volunteer at Mobile General Hospital and University of South Alabama Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raybert H. Doan, Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Georgia Doan of Moss Point, MS and Marsha Fore of Grand Bay, AL; one son, Raybert H. Doan, Jr. of Woodlawn, TN; five grandchildren, Mitch Fore of Grand Bay, AL, Alan Fore of Moss Point, MS, Lee Fore of Grand Bay, AL, Kay (Chris) Collins of Irvington, AL, and Larise Doan of Grand Bay, AL; ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many wonderful friends. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, March 30, 2012 in Pine Crest Cemetery.
