Mrs. Mary Anne Tapia, a longtime resident of Mobile, died on Sunday, October 27, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hays J. Tapia; parents, Alfred and Anne Thomas; grandson, Jarred S. McKay and son-in-law, Willie Raley. She is survived by six children, Mark J. (Augusta) Tapia, Mary Hays (Gary) Armstrong, Sue (Danny) McKay, Philip (Chanel) Tapia, Paula Tapia and Alice Raley; one sister, Cindy T. Davis and one brother, A.B. “Tommy” Thomas; twenty grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 1:30 PM. Visitation will start at 12:30 at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to National Kidney Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
