Mary S. Tew

Mary S. Tew – an 80 year-old native of Mobile and resident of Georgetown, AL passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Mrs. Tew graduated from Murphy High School in 1948. She worked a short time for the Mobile Bears and after graduating worked 16 years for South Central Bell attaining the rank of supervisor before leaving to be a fulltime loving and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Tew was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Bertha Scheuermann; three brothers, Andrew, Jr., George, and Anthony; and sister, Bertha. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Thomas R. Tew, Jr.; children, Thomas R. Tew, III (CeCee), Matthew A. Tew (Cheryl), Michael R. Tew, and Mary Tew Long; five grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour.
