Mary Anne Risen Waller

Mary Anne Waller, of Mobile, entered into rest Mon¬day, February 22, 2016, at a local hospital. She was 93. The family will receive friends Friday, February 26, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at The Chapel of the Pines in Pine Crest Cemetery.

Mrs. Waller was born February 27, 1922, in Meridian, MS to the late Luther Benson Risen and Lois Johnston Risen. She attended Judson College in Marion, AL, and she was a lifelong member Dauphin Way United Methodist Church and the Junior League of Mobile. Her family was everything to her; she was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Mrs. Waller was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Waller, and sister, Lois Johnston Risen “Cissy” Dismukes.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Waller (Terrence James) Silva, two grandchildren, Mary Anne Silva (David Patrick) Kelley and Margaret Taylor Silva (Lacy Alexander) McCall, three great-grandchildren, Mary Shannon Kelley, Lacy Alexander McCall, Jr., and Suzanne Johnston McCall, and one nephew, Henry M. Dismukes, Jr. all of Mobile.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Dauphin Way United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
