He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles L. Nelson, V.; grandparents, Charles L. Nelson, III., Cora Carnley Wray, Edwin L. Wray, Con Kelly and Vaudie Jewell Manley, He was also, preceded in death by his stepfather, Ross Fitzgerald.
He is survived by his parents, Bobbie Fitzgerald, Charles L. Nelson, IV., and Pamela Nelson; one sister, Michelle Nelson (Todd Buss) of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Carl Clark of Needham, Alabama and Tony Nelson (Charlene); and other relatives, family and friends.
Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family and watching Alabama Crimson Tide Football.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home – Mobile., on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 12:00 PM. With Pastor Derrick Clark officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time.
Interment will be at Pine Crest Cemetery West, Mobile, Alabama.
Pallbearers are, Paul Havard, Ken Johnson, Vincent Webster, Roy Turk, Thomas Cayton and Billy Singleton.
