Michael Sebastian Stewart

Michael Sebastian Stewart, a god fearing man who knew God and accepted him into his life as his Lord and Savior, departed this earth peacefully on November 16th, 2025 surrounded by his wife, and great grandkids.

Michael was a graduate of McGill Toolen High School, class of 1979 here in Mobile, Al. Michael achieved one of every parents dream by earning an athletic scholarship to Memphis State University with a full four year ride to play college football and pursue his academic agenda/goals. After college, Michael entered active duty military enlisting in the U.S. Army where he faithfully, and courageously served 8 years of active duty as a transportation personnel. Michael also earned a variety of distinguished service medals. Michael was discharged from Active Military Service with the character of honorable discharge.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Luke Stewart Sr, aunt “Mary Miller”, son “David Caples”, grandsons “Joaquin Jones & Ladavieon Caples” of Mobile,Al. Michael leaves his loving, nourishing, and cherishing wife of over 35 years “Rose Caples Stewart” of Mobile,Al. A loving devoted mother “Dorothy R. Stewart Two daughters “Mary Caples” of Mobile,Al & “Tiana Murphy” of Atlanta,GA One son “Michael Stewart Jr” of Mobile,AL. Fourteen devoted grandchildren “Kierra Caples, Keith Bass Jr, Juwan & Jamarcus Caples” of (Mobile, AL), Lauren Hawkins(Dothan,AL), “Almeda & Felisca Ritchie”(Mobile,AL), “Kathleen Hunter, Jaikala Ross, Johanna Martinez, Amanda Horn, Lashika Hines” of (Mobile, Al) and “Taj & Janae Murphy” of (Atlanta,GA) Sixteen great grandchildren “ Mikayla, Joesiyah, Maddison, Lazarus, Meilhani, Khaza, Ka’Leigh, Keith, Aminah, Omar, Wyatt Jr, Westyn, Michael Hall Jr & Amina Hall, Keilani Tate” of (Mobile,AL) and “Isabella Long” of (Dothan,AL) Two brothers “Luke Stewart” of (Tuskegee, AL) “Derek Stewart” of (Montgomery, AL) Two sister in laws “Lula Stewart” of (Tuskegee,AL) and “Latisha Stewart” of (Montgomery,AL), one nephew; "Theron Bradford" of Prichard, AL, A devoted friend/ caregiver “Sparkle” and Brittany One niece “ Sade’a Maria Stewart” of (Gulfport, MS) Four great nieces “ I’liyanna & Za’Riah Stewart” of (Gulfport,MS) “Cristina & Isabella Walker” of (Tuscaloosa,AL) Two nephews “Derek Stewart Jr” (Mobile,Al) & “Christopher Walker” (Tuscaloosa,AL) A host of cousins A devoted friend/neighbor “Mrs.Rose and Mr. Andrew Poole” of (Semmes,AL) A friend of the family "Henrietta Williams", of Mobile, AL, A devoted friend/ hairstylist “Tamicka” (Mike-Mike) Of Mobile,AL, A long time special friend and sister at heart “Miranda Stewart” of (Gulfport, MS).
