Minnie Strickland Armour

Minnie Strickland Armour – 71, of Mobile, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 Minnie was born in State Line, MS to the late Modia and Coy Strickland on November 21, 1942. She was a graduate of State Line High School. Minnie was an avid cook and baker who enjoyed fishing sports and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ivan and Tommy Strickland. Minnie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Reese Armour; three children, Cindy (Terry) Cox of Grand Bay, AL, Thad Armour (Alston Lundy) of Atlanta, GA, and Josh Armour of Wilmer, AL; three grandchildren, Matthew Cox, Tanner Cox, and Emily Armour; three brothers, Edward Strickland of Vinegar Bend, AL, Wilson Strickland of Excel, AL and Cecil Strickland of State Line, MS; a sister, Mary Peterson of Semmes, AL; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour.
