

Nancy Viola White Dennis, wife of the late Thomas Wilson Dennis, Jr., entered into the presence of God on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the age of 86, joining her beloved husband and other loved ones who have gone before her. She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was the daughter of the late Paul David White and late Elise Madaline Cothran White.
She was a member of Spring Hill Avenue Methodist Church, and former longtime member of St. John United Methodist Church and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama from 1971 until her death.
Nancy was a board member of the Widowed Persons Service of Greater Mobile and was very proud of her service as a volunteer and assisting with functions and activities of this great organization.
Nancy was a native of the beautiful upstate South Carolina, as were many of her relatives and ancestors. She was proud of her hometown of Clemson and she grew up mostly in the Clemson and Central areas along with her family. She attended schools there and was an honor graduate and Senior Class Officer of D.W. Daniel High School. Nancy excelled in everything she did in life to its fullest.
She met and married the man of her dreams and they enjoyed a beautiful life together of 50 years until his untimely death. He was an exceptional loving family man of high character, great integrity, honesty and a graduate of Clemson University and a retiree of International Paper Company. He has truly been missed by everyone.
Nancy set high goals for herself and her family and her greatest love has been taking care of them and their home.
She was blessed to have strong exceptional people in her life, who influenced her greatly and included her beloved parents and grandparents and her extraordinary beloved husband of 50 years and some very special teachers, especially her brilliant home economics teacher.
As a family she, husband and sons, were privileged to have lived in a numbers of states and several countries overseas, which included Japan and Philippines for 2 years.
Nancy had a passion to become a real estate agent and she earned her license with the Alabama Real Estate Commission in 1986 and enjoyed a successful career for over 33 years, of which she was licensed with Roberts Brothers and proudly earned the Million Dollar Club Lifetime Member Recognition in 1994. She also was proud of her achievements and other awards and truly loved working with her many clients, customers, business associates and friends and those who supported her.
She loved planting flowers and watching them bloom. Also dear to her was home cooking for her family much like her mother would do, hosting special gatherings for her family and decorating the home for Christmas, sewing her own clothes and playing bridge early in life, watching their sons grow up, graduate from high school and college and becoming successful in life, going on family camping trips, mostly to the Great Smoky Mountains, visiting Clemson and relatives in South Carolina every time possible throughout her entire life and she was a huge fam of the Clemson Tigers and loved watching their football games.
Some of the music she has enjoyed has been church hymns, southern gospel, Elvis music, fifties music, New Orleans Jazz, Jimmy Buffett and Andrea Bocelli.
Nancy is survived by her sons: Thomas W. Dennis, III (Debbie) and Russell A. Dennis (Tammy). Grandchildren: Bradley Dennis, Benjamin Dennis, Rebekah Dennis Clemmett (Ben) and Daniel Dennis (Brittany); Great Grandson Winston Clemment, niece Mary White Stith(Danny), nephew Bradley White (Ashley), step-niece Tracey Cannon (Vern) and many cousins and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Thomas W. Dennis, Jr., parents Paul David White and Elise Madaline Cothran White, brothers Donald P. White (Frances), Thomas Lee White (Teresa) and Mark L. White, sister-in-law Frances Lee White, sister-in-law Teresa White and parents-in-law Thomas W. Dennis, Sr. and Essie W. Dennis.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, 3155 Dauphin Street on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Crest West Cemetery, 1599 Snow Road South, Mobile, AL.
