

Nora “Dolly” Elizabeth Grayson, a beloved resident of Mobile, AL, was born on May 15, 1945, to the late Horace and Onnie E. Lockett-Grayson, Sr. She peacefully transitioned from this life on January 18, 2025. Nora was a treasured member of The Family Worship Center.
As a registered nurse and a graduate of Bishop State Community College, where she obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Chemistry and Nursing, Nora dedicated her career to various healthcare facilities across Mobile and Birmingham, AL. A devout Christian and steadfast believer in Jesus Christ, she shared His goodness with everyone she met. She often spoke of her favorite scripture, which she affectionately referred to as "God’s telephone number": Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
Known for her vibrant personality, Nora was a true firecracker who expressed her thoughts without hesitation. Her spirited nature and unwavering faith left a profound impact on all who knew her.
Nora was preceded in death by her daughter, Sonia Moore; her sisters, Lula B. Grayson, Ila Jean Grayson, Leona Salter, and Linda Leatherwood; her brother, James Steve Douglas Grayson; and her sisters-in-law, Shelia Grayson and Vickie Grayson.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, April Hall (Mobile, AL), and her son, Willie Earl Hall, Jr. I (Fort Worth, TX). Nora is also survived by her three granddaughters, Sydnee LaNora Moore, Kalyn (Jason) Nelson, and Ja’Terrica Hall, as well as three great-granddaughters, Khloe Hale, Jordynn, and Jalyn Thomas, all residing in Mobile, AL. She leaves behind three brothers, Horace Grayson, Jr. (Reserved, LA), John H. Grayson (Mobile, AL), and Minister Charles (Robin) Grayson (Birmingham, AL), along with two sisters, Elder Annie (Charles) Mitchell (Queens, NY) and Monica D. Grayson (Mobile, AL) and a host of family and friends from the entire Lockett and Grayson families.
We invite you to celebrate the life of our beloved Nora E. Grayson at her Homegoing Memorial Service, at the Goodwill Church Ministries, 1038 Grand Ave, Prichard, Al 36610 at 11:00 AM on this Saturday, January 25h, 2025.
Nora will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, and her cherished memories will forever remain in their hearts.
