Patricia Rowan Richey was best described as an exclamation point! Life was infused into everything she did. Pat touched eternity with Christ Saturday, June 25, 2022, after a heroically gracious, 14 month struggle with pancreatic cancer.
A native of Baldwyn, Mississippi, and lifelong resident of Mobile, Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Hallie and Charles Rowan of Baldwyn, Mississippi. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Terry M. Richey; two daughters, Laura Allyson Miller (Randolph) and Abby Hines (Worth); and four granddaughters, Mary Bennett Hines, Lainey Hines, Allie Grace Miller, and Anne Catchings Miller, all of Mobile. She leaves behind two brothers, Kenneth Rowan (Brenda) of Baldwyn Mississippi and Tim Rowan (Amy) of Clinton, Mississippi; brother-in-Law, Donnie Richey (Kathy); and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Pat is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church where she served in multiple volunteer capacities from Sanctuary Choir, Sunday School Teacher, Women’s Ministry, Missions organizations, just to name a few. She was a member of the PEO Philanthropic organization and worked as Graphic Designer most recently for Springhill Medical Center.
Pat loved serving others, designing, planning events, ministry, bringing joy and most of all her family; and family included not only those related but anyone she found herself around. Her greatest joy came in relationship with Christ. She had a hunger for studying and learning more and more about the Lord. Never pushy with her faith, she was always graciously loving others in His name.
