Paul David Gibbons

David Gibbons passed away on May 14, 2019, surrounded by his loving wife Angela Pitt Gibbons of 36 years, his son Shawn Gibbons, daughter Brittani Gibbons May, son-in-law Daniel May and family. David was proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Catherine Darnell Gibbons. David is survived by his father Charles H. Gibbons and wife Beverly, brothers Charles M. Gibbons, John R. Gibbons and wife Cindy, Chris M. Gibbons and wife Terri, and brother-in-law Steve Pitt, and many nieces and nephews.

David was a 1974 graduate of Davidson High School and was President and Owner of Gibbons Contracting. David loved his family with all his heart and was devoted to them in every way. Those who knew David experienced a very generous and giving man who put others ahead of himself. His talents and abilities were gladly given to anyone in need. His life was a testament to his faith, honesty, and strong work ethic. David was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He saw the beauty of life through his Savior Jesus Christ and in all living things. Through his life he taught his children and all who knew him “to always have faith”.

Visitation will be held May 17, 2019, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street in Mobile Alabama. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 11-12:00 PM at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church located at 2272 Snow Road North, Semmes, Alabama.

He will be laid to rest at Pine Crest West Cemetery, 1599 Snow Road, Mobile, Alabama.
