

Born on November 21, 1937, in Stonewall, Mississippi, he was the son of the late James Robert Stallings and Zelda Ruth Johnson (Buddy). He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life was marked by integrity, generosity, and a deep love for his family.
After graduating from Vigor High School in 1956, he attended Arkansas State, where he continued to play football. After which he proudly served his country in the United States Army Signal Corps from 1959 to 1961, a period of service he held with quiet pride. Butch was the owner and president of Mobile Supply Company for many years, where he was respected for his leadership, business acumen, and dedication to the Mobile community.
An avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, Butch found peace and joy in the outdoors. He was also the most enthusiastic Alabama football fan. He will be remembered for his loyalty, philanthropy, and generous spirit; always opening his home, beach house and hunting camp to others and making everyone feel welcome.
Butch was preceded in death by his beloved wife Julia Stallings, his brother Robert Stallings and his grandson Ross Henderson.
He is survived by his children Kelly McKelvey, Joel Stallings, Nicki Ball (Christopher), Anthony Stallings (Holland); his grandchildren Saige Henderson, Jay Skoda (Sydney), Marrion Ball, Azilee Ball, Jack Stallings, Amelia Stallings, Morgan Stallings; his great grand children Fisher, Mia and Clay and his brother Doug Stallings (Nina); along with many extended family members and dear friends.
A celebration of life honoring Butch and Julia will be held on January 17, 2026 from 2 to 5 pm at Oak Hollow Farms, 14210 S. Greeno Road, Fairhope, Alabama 36532.
