Reverend Raymond C. Williams, born in Mobile, AL on January 21, 1944, passed from this life to eternity on Friday, January 31, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Dorothy Williams. Rev. Williams was a local minister for over 38 years, pastoring at Gospel Lighthouse Holiness Church for 29 years.. Known as “Little Smoky” by shipyard workers, his gentle kindness and compassion touched everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife Sandra Lewis Williams and his daughters Sharman Hayes and Shirre Rigney. Also left to cherish his memory are three grandchildren; Sheldon Hayes, Chele’ Rigney and Chay Rigney. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gospel Light Holiness Church, 7751 Old Shell Road. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Valhalla Cemetery, Eight Mile, AL.
