Richard Gardner – a native of Battles, MS and resident of Mobile, AL departed this life peacefully on December 9, 2019, at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Evans Gardner, his parents, Robert and Marie Gardner, sister Bobbie Brown and brothers, Max Gardner and Gerald Gardner.
His memory will be cherished by his four children, Melissa (Rob) Hoffman, Rick (Cindy) Gardner, Tesa (Patrick) Gueret, and Sherry (Mike) Nelson; 10 grandchildren, Jacob, Alec, Madison, Trey, Faith, Joshua, James, Noah, Brandt, and Hayden; brother Don Gardner; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Friday, December 13, 2019, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel immediately following visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Hall officiating. Graveside service and scripture reading by Rick Sullivan will follow at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery in Millry, AL at 2:00 p.m.
