Rita White McLeod, a longtime resident of Mobile passed away at Allen Memorial Home where she resided for the last several years. She is preceded in death by her husband J Walter McLeod, Jr., son, James McLeod, and grandson, Michael Troy Hicks. She is survived by her daughter, Rita M Zimlich (Andy), daughter-in-law, Nancy F McLeod, four grandchildren, Kelli H Starnes (Shawn), Russell D Ware (Donna Faye), Robyn W Haygood (Dane), Regan W Lawson (Lee), 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Rita was retired from the US Corps of Engineers and a prolific artist.
Pallbearers include, Russ Ware, Dane Haygood, Lee Lawson, Patrick Dunn, Drew Zimlich, and Andy Zimlich.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. Pastor Brandon Stephens will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
