

Robert (Bob) Dunnavant, lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016. Bob served in the Marine Corps and was in combat in Okinawa during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Cook Mack and Albert Joseph Dunnavant; three sons, Adam Richard Dunnavant, Paul Kenneth (Kenny) Dunnavant, and Charles Keith Dunnavant, his sister Marion Kerr, and a brother Ronald Dunnavant. He was a beloved father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Irving Dunnavant, his three daughters, Colleen (Ken) Newman of Alaska, Jeanne (Johnny) Irving, Brenda (Jimbo) Allbritten, and his sons Bruce Michael (Sharon) Dunnavant and Glenn Joseph Dunnavant; five step-children, Joseph Rodgers (Naomi) of Mondovi, Wisconsin, Stacey Steele of Duxbury, Massachusetts, Ramona (Brett) Ardizone, of Mobile, AL, Peter Wilm and Paul Wilm, both of Birmingham, AI. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin St. The Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Pine Crest Cemetery.
