

Lieutenant Colonel Robert Martin “Bobby” Page, U.S.A.F. (Retired) – age 72; a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Fairhope, AL died Monday, April 26, 2010 in a local hospital surrounded by his family. Bobby was a 1956 graduate of McGill Institute, graduated from the University of Alabama in 1963 and went on to pilot training in Lubbock, TX where he graduated first in his flight school class. Bobby served his country for 21 years as a fighter pilot flying the F-4 and as an instructor on the T-38. Bobby flew numerous missions into North Vietnam where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross and various other medals. Bobby went on to serve at several Bases across the United States ending his career as Deputy Base Commander at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, John Julius Page and Catherine Martin Page; and one son, Stephen Bradley Page. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandy Page of Fairhope, AL; two children, Robert Martin “Marty” Page of Fairhope, AL and Kelli (Gary) Foote of Bishop, GA; one granddaughter, Katie Foote of Bishop, GA; one brother, J. J. (Gayle) Page of Fairhope, AL; loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Bobby’s family would like to send a special thank you to the 1956 graduating class of McGill Institute who meant so much to him and have been so supportive. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Thursday, April 29, 2010 from St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until 12 Noon on Thursday in the St. Lawrence Room at the church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment will be in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
