Ronald Wayne Yawn, 74, life-long resident of Mobile, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 in Alabama. Ronnie worked for Honeywell in the Distribution Center. He loved Alabama Football (Roll Tide!), politics and history. Ronnie and his wife loved to travel and camp. He was a family man – he loved his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren. He never met a stranger, was a wonderful person, and will be greatly missed. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah George and Annie Elois Flowers Yawn; children, Blaine Lorge, Thomas Lorge, and Barbara Lorge; sisters, Mary Yawn, Barbara Yawn, and Gloria Campbell; and brothers, Elijah George Jr. and Emmett Gary Yawn. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Roberts Yawn; six children, Rhonda George (Ben), Christopher Yawn, Deborah Dreibelbis (Jason), Janiece Haley, Karen Lorge, and Patricia Loyd; twenty grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Yawn (Gyorge Ann); three sisters, Shirley Yawn (Bob Newburn), Sandra Yawn, Sonia Sheafer (Mark); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends. Visitation for Ronnie will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
