Rory Thomas Winkler

Rory Thomas Winkler, a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on February 29, 2024, at his home in Theodore, Alabama. Born on July 3, 1954, to Keith and Margaret Winkler in Mobile, Alabama, Rory graduated from Murphy High School in 1972.

In dedicated service and contribution to his community, Rory earned the highest achievable rank of Eagle Scout with the Boys Scouts of America. He was previously active with Abba Temple Shriners, as well as a member of Howard E. Palmes Masonic Lodge #917. Upon his death, Rory was also a member of the Mystics of Time Mardi Gras Association.

Rory was a Journeyman Electrician with IBEW 505, going on to earn his Master Electrician certification through the state of Alabama. He was the proprietor of Winkler Electric, Inc. for over 30 years.

Rory is predeceased by his parents, Keith and Margaret Winkler. His memory will forever be held in the hearts of his daughters Barklie Hebert (Skip Cayton), Brooke Parsons (Billy); grandchildren Chandler Hebert, Calen Hebert and Tripp Parsons; sisters and brothers Sara Little (David), Leigh Odom (Mike), Randy Winkler (Cynthia) and Bart Winkler (Gabbie), as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal service, rather a private gathering for family.
