Mr. Roy Thomas Miller Sr.

Roy Thomas Miller Sr., a Theodore native and a resident of Irvington was born September 6, 1958 and passed away November 9, 2010 at the age of 52. He was a graduate of St. Matthews Catholic School and Theodore High School. For 30 years, he navigated the inland and coastal waters of the central Gulf Coast. Most of that career was spent as a senior pilot with Colle Towing. He was a devoted son and loving father. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Joseph Miller Jr., and sister, Dolores (Dodie) Miller. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Miller, of Theodore, AL, his daughter, Melissa (Scott) Spann, of Mobile son, Roy (Ashley) Miller of Mobile, son, Christopher Miller, grand-daughters, Sydney Spann, Anna-Scott Spann, brother Lester Joseph "Joe" Miller III, sister, Pam (Pat) Shreve, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Pallbearers were J.D. Brewton, Jeb Downing, Pat Shreve, Conrad Harris, Elliot Harris, and Alex Harris. Visitation will be November 12, 2010, from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held November 12, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Matthews Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
