Sara Burt Baldridge, 92, passed away on January 25, 2019 in Foley, Alabama. She was born in Lewisburg, Tennessee on August 7, 1926 to Icee Burgess and James Harvey Ralston. Her father passed away when she was only 8 months old, so her mother raised her. Sara graduated high school from Morgan Preparatory School in Petersburg, Tennessee. She attended Rhodes College in Memphis and graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Sara was a faithful member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Chickasaw, Alabama for 58 years. She was a secretary for the Alabama State Docks and retired in 1994. Sara was also a dedicated volunteer at Providence Hospital. Sara was a wonderful daughter, mom, and friend to many. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Sara is preceded in death by her husband, John Baldridge. She is survived by her daughter Pat (Morris) Holston; son Jim (Sheri) Scheer; grandchildren Angela (Heath) Lewis, Matt (Andrea) Holston, Stacey (Scott) Kennedy, and Jay (Clara) Scheer; eight great- grandchildren; cousins Burt Lee Thompson and Dr. Bill (Neida) Thompson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Baldridge will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Chickasaw, Alabama. The family will be accepting friends Tuesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Rev. Ruth LaMonte will be officiating. After a brief reception at the church, interment will take place in Serenity Memorial Gardens in Theodore, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 300 Grant St. Chickasaw, Alabama 36611.
