Sharon Francis Helton, 72, passed away at her home in Semmes on Saturday, December 20, 2025. Sharon was born to Marvin and Sara Owens on January 21, 1953, in Fort Benning, Georgia. She comes from a tight-knit military family, breeding a love of spending time with friends and family any chance she got. Get-togethers were frequent, and she enjoyed seeing her nieces and nephews at the gatherings.
Sharon was a Godly woman and relied on the Lord to bring her peace and comfort – especially during hard times. She was a wonderful wife, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be greatly missed.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ann Roebuck; brothers, Mark and Glen Owens; nephew, Charlie Roebuck; as well as many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Helton; great-niece, Taylor Roebuck; great-nephew, Dakota Roebuck; and a host of great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation for Sharon will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a funeral service immediately following in the chapel. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West on Snow Road in Mobile.
