Ms. Shirley Lee Woods, age 71, resident of Axis, Al, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Lee and Callie Carraway Woods, brother, James Adams, sister, Evelyn Criswell and niece, Jamie Adams. Ms. Woods worked for over 24 years as an accounting clerk with Scott Paper Company, a nanny for several families through the years and Mom’s Day Out in Daphne. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing and playing cards, and most importantly loved her family time. Shirley is survived by her brother Herman Woods and his wife, Phyllis. She is also survived by her nieces; Jeanie Tomlin (Jay), Julie Boren (Mark), Jonie Adams Tatter (John), Jodie Adams Herrin, Kimberly Woods, Kerri Lastorka (Jack), nephews; John Criswell (Anne), Jeffery Criswell (Deborah), Kevin Woods, numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and other family and friends. Graveside services will be held at Springhill Memorial Gardens on Thursday, July 5, 2018 beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be offered to the USA Mitchell Cancer Center, 1660 Springhill Avenue, Mobile, AL 36604.
