Sumner’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing. She is survived by her husband Frank, daughters Stacey (Robert) Wager and Darren (Elizabeth) Everett, siblings, Betty Crenshaw, Ann (Joe) White, Spencer "Jug" (BJ) Adams, and Jean (Charles) Hinton, her precious dogs, Maggie and Molly, and her 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Ronnie Everett, daughters Kris and Kelly, and her son (Little) Ronnie.
Sumner retired from the USPS in 2003.
The family would like to thank Springhill Hospice for their loving care and would like to acknowledge the special care of her two grandchildren Sumner Lee and Erin Freeman, and her daughter Elizabeth Naman.
Services will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on February 5 and the family will receive friends there from 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Services will begin at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
