Susan was born April 8, 1953 in Mobile, AL. She completed an associate degree at Clarke College (MS).
She was a member of Riverside Heights Baptist Church in Tallassee. Susan loved music – serving as a pianist at Tallaweka Baptist and Bethlehem East Baptist (both in Tallassee) and on special occasions served as soloist.
Her working career reflected her high degree of commitment to serving the Lord in many ways. She served through Baptist Campus Ministry at the Air Force Academy, worked with missionaries at the Home Mission Board (NAMB), SBC, receptionist at Community Medical Arts (Tallassee) and until recent retirement as Church Secretary at FBC Tallassee. In all these and other work roles she was a committed employee and compassionate listener – always exhibiting a high degree of wit and humor. She loved to laugh!
She loved animals – especially dogs (Rudi) and cats – and worked several years in a Veterinary clinic in Columbiana, AL.
Susan will be greatly missed by all who knew, loved and appreciated her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Riverside Heights Baptist Church or the Humane Society of Elmore County.
