Susan Denise Mims

Susan was born on December 19th, 1962 in El Paso, TX to Thomas and Esther Walley. She was raised in Lucedale, MS. but moved to Mobile, AL. for college and met Darrell Mims whom she eventually married on July 25th, 1984. Together, they raised 3 daughters, Erika, Eden, and Emily, and 1 son, Evan.

Susan was a lively woman, strong in spirit and presence, and with a heart for the Lord. She had a passion for crafts and design, always adding to her collection of supplies and décor. She was the guiding force behind the business she and her husband created. It specialized in the selling and installation of educational technology in schools across the southeast, establishing a network of friends who became family over the years with this business.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Thomas, her mother, Esther her brother Tom and her grandson, Grayson. She is survived by her husband, Darrell, her daughters Erika, Eden, and Emily, her son, Evan, and her brother Jack, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and her two grandchildren, Michael and Esther.

A funeral service will be held this Saturday, August the 8th at Pine Crest Cemetery located at 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL. 36605.

Visitation will be at 12 pm and the service will begin at 2.
