Sylvia Zanville Cohn

resident of Mobile, AL died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Atlanta,

GA. Mrs. Cohn was a member of the Spring Hill Avenue Temple,

Congregation Ahavas Chesed, Zonta and Hadassah. She was the co-owner,

with her husband, of Leonard's Clothing Store for 47 years and

volunteered at Spring Hill Medical Center in Mobile and Huntcliff Summit

in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years,

Raymond Z. Cohn and her brother, Lewis Zanville.

This gracious, spunky, tireless, wise, adorable matriarch has left her

family and friends heartbroken; her children: Elaine and Erwin and Helen

and Johnny; grandchildren: Lauren, Mark, Nikki, Steven, Robin, and Amy;

great-grandchildren: Charles, Taylor, Abigail, Casey, Rachel, and

Rebecca; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Shirley and Dick; many loving

nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear friends; caregivers: Rose,

Connie, Helen, Althea, Myrtle, and Iris.

Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday,

December 16, 2011 in the Spring Hill Avenue Temple Cemetery with Rabbi

Steven Silberman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made

to the Spring Hill Avenue Temple, the Congregation Ahavas Chesed or The

Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Foundation, 860 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite
