Thomas Eugene Sherrer

Thomas Eugene Sherrer - an 83 year-old native of Langdale, AL, former resident of Gulfport, MS, and longtime resident of Mobile, AL passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013. Mr. Sherrer was a graduate of Troy State and was a veteran of the United States Army and Navy. He had a long career as a civil servant which began at Brookley Field in Mobile and ended with his retirement from the Navy Seabees in Gulfport, MS. Mr. Sherrer was a loving husband, dad, and granddad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larkin T. and Glenie Duffey Sherrer, and brother, Carey Michael "Mickey" Sherrer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Carolyn Sue Sherrer; son, Dana Lee, and his wife, Debbie; grandsons, Brett Lee and Blake Lee; and great-granddaughter, Adilynn Lee.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
