Tony served his country with honor as a crew chief and door gunner on helicopters during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he pursued a career in boiler making, specializing as a skilled tube welder.
From an early age, Tony had a gift for drawing. His artistic talent knew no bounds—if he could imagine it, he could draw it.
Known for his warm heart and friendly nature, Tony never met a stranger. He was always ready with a story or a helping hand.
Tony attended both Satsuma and Vigor High Schools.
He is survived by his loving children: daughters Tonia Heathcoe (Dewayne), Sonia Hamilton (Marcus) and son Tyler Hamilton; grandsons David Hamilton (Ivy), William Heathcoe and Anthony Heathcoe; great grandson Joe Hamilton, Sister Betty Pilgrim (Buddy) and brother Clyde Hamilton (Darlene).
Tony's memory will live on through the love of his family, the respect of his fellow veterans, and the beauty of the art he created.
