

Travis Gordon Dannelley, Sr., was born May 17, 1937 in McCullough, Escambia County, Al. He was a resident of Eight Mile, AL. He passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at a local hospital. He was a graduate of Escambia County High School, Atmore, AL. He also graduated from 20th Century Business College, Mobile, AL. He served six years with the Alabama Army National Guard. He was attached to the 711th Signal Corp Battalion. He was based at Fort Jackson, SC and Fort Gordon, AL. Mr. Dannelley retired from International Paper Company, Mobile, AL on April 1, 1999 after 40 years of service. He leaves to cherish his memory a very special lady and mother of his children, Frances M. Dannelley, his children; Dr. Julia M. Dannelley and Travis G. Dannelley, Jr. of Daphne, AL. He is also survived by his grandson, Dr. Daniel G. Dannelley and his wife Katie Coale Dannelley and great grandsons, Eli Smith Dannelley and Benjamin Cade Dannelley of Prescott Valley, AZ, two sisters, Betty Dean of Lottie, AL and Minnie Lindsey Van Ling of Pensacola, FL, sister-in-law, Peggy Dannelley of Spanish Fort, AL. A constant companion and friend Michael Wayne Goff. God Bless you Michael and thank you for all your loving care and support. To my nieces and nephews; thanks for being there for me. I love you all very much. Mr. Dannelley is preceded in death by his parents, Hardy Lee Dannelley and Mary Maranda Bowman, step-mother, Julia Inez Lindsey, sisters, Louise McKinney, Mary Dockens, Betty (Lindsey) Parker; brothers, Clinton, James, Lee and Bill Dannelley and Henry, Ben and Buddy Lindsey; nieces, Barbara Cockrell, Fran Cummins and Chris Frampton, a nephew, Daniel Lee McKinney. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Graveside committal services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Family requests casual attire.
