Van D. Watts

Mr. Van Duris Watts Sr. was born on March 26, 1957, and resided in Eight Mile, Alabama with his wife Mrs. Georgia Watts. He departed this life on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Van’s true legacy lies in the love he shared by being a devoted husband, supportive father, loving grandfather, and retiree of over 30 years of service as a department manager at Walmart. Mr. Van D. Watts Sr. was preceded in death by his father and mother, Nathan & Sarah Watts; brothers, Nathaniel & Raymond Watts and sisters, Christina Buford & Sarah Watts.

Van leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted wife of 46 years Mrs. Georgia Watts, of Eight Mile, AL; two sons: Mr. Van (Amelia) Watts Jr. of Eight Mile, AL and Mr. Steven (Amy) Watts of Seattle, WA; one daughter Mrs. Vanessa (Robert) Watts-Smith of Eight Mile, AL; his brother Mr. Johnnie Watts of Mobile, AL; his sister Ms. Janie Patrick of Whistler, AL; 9 grandchildren Shalecia Harden, Van Watts III, Zantavion Watts, Titus Watts, Christopher Watts, Destiny Watts, Desirea Watts, Jada Watts, and Sarah Smith all of Mobile, AL; 3 great-grandchildren Khylee Dees, Khyler Dees, and Eliza Watts all of Mobile, AL. Mr. Van D. Watts Sr. warmth and kindness extended to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
