CORNELIUS Mrs. Verna V. Cornelius, a native of Union, MS and resident of Mobile, AL, died in a local hospital on Tuesday March 13, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Cornelius. Verna and Charles met at Brookley Field, where both were employed. After they married they lived in several places before moving to Japan for 2 years. They returned home to New Carlisle, OH where they raised their two daughters. Survivors are her 2 daughters, Gwen (Terry) Patterson, Beavercreek, OH and Cindy (Larry) Doogan, Donalsonville, GA; 4 grandchildren, Julie Bradley, Huber Heights, OH, Janet Wheeler, Xenia, OH, Chris Puterbaugh, Vandalia, OH and Nathan Doogan, Columbus, OH; 8 great grandchildren and other relatives. Visitation will be at Radney Funeral Home on Friday March 16, 2012 from 4 until 6 PM. Interment will be next week in Beavercreek, OH beside her husband.
