Mrs. Verna Estella Wells - a native of Chilton County, Alabama and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the family residence. Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her husband, Henry H. Wells and one grandson, James Owen Weatherly. She is survived by three children, Henry Scott Wells, Paula Kay Duke, and Verna Weatherly; one brother, Leonard Earl Chapman; two sisters, Frances Kane and Ethel Logan; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
