William “Chuck” Carter, age 66, native of Mobile, AL, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Saturday, May 5, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Charles and Betty Marie Carter and father and mother-in-law, J. D. and Roberta Willett. Chuck was employed for over 38 years as a journeyman sheet metal worker with Sheet Metal Union Local 441. He served his country honorably in the United States Army Reserves for six years. His family will remember his love of the outdoors, especially fishing and shrimping. He was also known for his ability to “fix” things when no one else could. Chuck is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Carter and 2 sons; Vince Carter (Elizabeth) and Bryan Carter (Stefanie). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Nick, Drew, Eli, Grayce, Leo, Austin, Selena, great-grandchild, Brayden and numerous family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
