Lt.Colonell William Weems Reynolds

William Weems Reynolds, Lt. Col, USAF, Retired, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Frederick and Louise Weems Reynolds, brother, Charles Frederick Reynolds, Jr. and his wife, Jacqueline Cutchen Reynolds of Headland, AL. Colonel Reynolds served his country honorably for 26 ½ years as a B-57 pilot in the United States Air Force. He served in the Southeast Asia theatre during the Vietnam Era. He was a graduate of Auburn University. After retiring from the Air Force he taught flight school at the University of South Alabama and was co-owner of Charter Services, Inc., in Mobile, AL. He was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church. Col. Reynolds is survived by his loving wife Peggy M. Reynolds and children; William Weems Reynolds, Jr. (Yvonne), Robert Lee Reynolds (Betsy), Charles Joseph Reynolds (Karis), John Frederick Reynolds (Christina Padgett) and Andre de Souza (Maria). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; Zack, Grace, Mary Kate, Kimberlee, Eric, Lucy, Alison, and Hope Reynolds, Isabel de Souza , and one great-grandson, Arlo Smith, nephew, Michael Reynolds and niece Suzie Whiddon. A celebration of life will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. The family would like to express their grateful appreciation to his full-time caregivers, Jacqueline Bush and Lola Burden for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Lifegate Christ United Methodist Church, 6101 Grelot Rd., Mobile, AL 36695.
