William Walker Ziebach, born in October 5, 1938 in Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Sunday May 28, 2023 at the age of 84. He grew up in Mobile, Alabama where he graduated from Murphy High School. He attended Auburn University and received his degree in business in 1961. He also served in the United States Army. William was an Administrative specialist for IBM and received numerous awards throughout his career before his retirement in the city of Mobile.
William was a lifelong Auburn Fan, was kind and a true gentleman, was very meticulous, and loved to make you laugh. He and Carolyn traveled extensively thru Europe and Asia. He loved history.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Bernice Singleton Ziebach, Sr., his brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Dorothy Ziebach, Jr.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years who he married on May 18, 1968 Carolyn Moore Ziebach; children, Glenn (Shea) Thompson, Janet (Mike) Barnard and Melinda Ziebach (Ben) Nguyen; six grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Krista Rai, Rebecca, Sarah and Ethan William; also, survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be given to The Salvation Army or Kingswood United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile, Alabama. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama.
