Marie Inez Bermudes

Marie I. Bermudes, age 81, of Park Forest, Illinois, formerly of McAllen, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, John F. Bermudes; beloved daughter, Elizabeth “Annie” Bermudes; cherished grandchildren: Julian Aguayo and Isabelle Bermudes; and her dear great-grandchild, Logan Gibbons-Aguayo. Marie is also survived by her loving siblings: Eddie, Robert, Juana, Rosie, Yolanda, and Gloria. She was preceded in death by her mother, Juaquina; father, Federico; son, Juan “Manny” Bermudes; and her brothers, Raul, Forro, and Ruben “Mickey.” Marie was a warm and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. She found great joy in tending her garden and sharing shopping trips with her daughter. Raised in Texas, it was there that she met the love of her life, John, and together they built a life filled with love that lasted more than five decades. Maria will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. A Memorial Gathering will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Skyline Funeral Home (24800 S.
