He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Josephine, and his six doting children; Norman, Yvette and her husband Norman Esteban, Karen and her husband Rich Reyes, Claudine and her husband Manny Go, Bryan Gruenberg and his wife Jessica and his youngest Rachel Gruenberg. He leaves behind seven wonderful and talented grandchildren; Josh, Miguel, Chelsea, Jordan, Ben, Sabrina and Dylan.
He was an extremely accomplished airline pilot in his early years, making captain when he was only 22. He was an avid amateur photographer, often developing and printing his own work, and an adept fisherman. A self taught culinary artist, he enjoyed cooking, especially for his family, his biggest fans. He loved all of his grandchildren deeply and spent hours humming lullabies putting them to sleep. He had a soothing deep voice, great sense of humor and an infectious laugh and he will be sorely missed.
